Offshore:
The Backlash was the first in of the offshore trips today and they were flying 5 White Marlin release flags, as well as brought in a nice haul of Mahi. The Rebel docked shortly after with a rigger full of release flags flying. They had 19 White Marlin Releases, A Blue Marlin release, followed by a 7 foot Hammerhead Shark release, and a 7 foot Dusky Shark release. The Rebel also brought back in a huge haul of Mahi! We also had several private boats fishing today, they all came in flying both White and Blue Marlin releases, as well as bringing in some Tuna and Mahi! We are still waiting for the Veteran to return!
We just had a boat hit the docks with a really nice haul of fish! Their catch consisted of Rose fish, Sea Bass, Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, and a nice Shark!
Inshore:
This morning the inshore boats had a nice showing of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Some of the boats even got into some fun of catching and releasing some small sharks. We have also received several reports of some Cobia seen swimming off our beautiful coast of Virginia Beach, one of which was weighed in at the marina at 40 lbs!
Rudee Inlet:
Rudee Inlet has remained steady with a constant bite of Croaker and Spot. They have been hitting best on cut squid and live bloodworms. There has also been a scattered bite of flounder hitting on live minnows and gulp on a light jig head. The flounder have been of various sizes, some have been some really nice keepers. Be sure to stop in the store for all of your Rudee Inlet bait and tackle needs. We just got in a nice batch of minnows!
