Tuna And Mahi Covering The Docks!

Offshore

The Fleet today pushed through the fog and and choppy seas to venture out to the Norfolk canyon. We are hoping to see a continued bite of Yellowfin Tuna as well as some nice Mahi!  The Deep Drop bite has been phenomenal lately with Blueline Tilefish, Black Sea Bass, Rosefish, Golden Tilefish, and some scattered Grouper.

Tuna are still here! The Backlash returned a little early today and racked some nice Tuna as well as several Mahi.

The rest of the fleet just arrived! The Git R Done brought back an awesome haul of Mahi as well as Tuna. The WaveRunner returned with some beautiful Mahi as well as Yellowfin Tuna. The Rebel returned with Yellowfin Tuna and lots of Mahi as well! It was a great day fishing offshore!

Inshore

Today the rough seas have made it a little difficult for the inshore bite. Lately the inshore bite has remained being mostly Red Drum being caught by sight casting at them. There have been a few keeper Flounders caught on the bottom as well as the occasional Bluefish caught along the coast line.

The Top Notch is out inshore fishing right now, they seem to be doing pretty well catching and releasing small Blacktip sharks!

Rudee Inlet

Today has been a quiet and foggy day here in Rudee Inlet aside from some Croaker and Spot. The weather for tomorrow is looking brighter so we are hoping for a little more action.

If you’ve been around the Oceanfront area the past couple of days you’ve seen the foggy grey weather we’ve been having. When a cold front comes through our area it leaves the waters choppy and a little hard to make it out of the inlet from the dense fog that sets in. We’ve had very minimal breaks in the weather which has given our guys a chance to get out here and there.
