Speckled Trout and Bluefish

by | Apr 9, 2016

Rudee Inlet:

We have weighed in several nice Speckled Trout these past few days in Rudee Inlet. We have also seen several people land some really nice Bluefish. The Speckled Trout and Bluefish have been hitting Gulps and Mirror Lures on the backside of the inlet.

Inshore:

The Bluefish are slowly starting to make their appearance along the coast line. They have been attacking on plastics. There have also been reports of throwback Rockfish being caught along the beach as well. We are anxiously waiting on the water temperature to warm up for some more inshore action. Before long we should start seeing some great catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish, as well as some release Red Drum.

Offshore:

The offshore bite has remained mostly bottom fish, including Blueline Tilefish, some really nice Bluefish, Rosefish, and other wreck fish mixed in. As the Water temperature continues to rise in the near future we are expecting to see some Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna on the troll, as well as some great Marlin fishing!
