Fishing Report 5/26/18

by | May 26, 2018

While the fish had shown up for us in the inlet at the beginning of the month, we are now happy to announce they are starting to show up EVERYWHERE! After what feels like a very long winter, we are so excited to get back on the water and catching fish.

Within the last few days we have had the Capt. Cheryl and the High Hopes fishing inshore and catching Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and even some Cobia! Cobia season doesn’t begin until June 1 so unfortunately those had to be released but it is a good sign for when it opens in just a few days!

We are all anxious for the Tuna to start making their way up this way (which should be anyday!!!) but for now, the Rebel and the Backlash are both fishing out of the Outer Banks and having an incredible spring season down there. The Backlash also caught their first Blue Marlin of the season the other day which makes us all that more anxious and excited for another great season here at the Virginia Beach Fishing Center.

If you are contemplating a trip with our fleet for the first time or you are looking to book with our fleet again, we recommend giving us a call as soon as possible so we can get you on the books! Our guys calendars are already filling up and the heat of the season isn’t even here yet! Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to give us a call, we are here 7am-7pm daily and are happy to answer any questions you may have!
