Rudee Inlet:

We will only experience one high tide today, and it will be around 11:39AM. The first low tide of the day was at 5:16 this morning, followed by the second low tide of the day at 6:10 this evening. Even with Rudee Inlet a bit churned up, we are still receiving reports of some nice Spot being caught. They seem to be hitting best on live bloodworms, though the fishbites and squid seem to work as well. We have not heard of any Flounder being caught in the past few days, so we fear that bite may be over for the season.

Inshore/Offshore:

With the current weather situation following just after a recent blow, sadly none of the fleet has been able to make it out fishing recently. In fact mother nature has prevented any of the boats from fishing outside of Rudee Inlet in over a week. The offshore forecast for today is calling for northeast winds between 20 and 30KT, kicking up seas to between 9 and 13 FT. There is also some offshore thunderstorms and showers this morning. The Inshore forecast is not much better, as winds will be beteen 25 and 30KT with gusts around 40KT. These high winds will bring seas between 9 and 12 FT, with some rain. We are hoping we will get a break from mother nature in the near future, permitting the boats to get back to doing what they do best…Fishing!
