Offshore:

It’s the second day fishing for the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament. There are 20 boats fishing today and 55 are taking their lay day. Today the Backlash, Capt. Cheryl, Rebel, GitRDone, and Wave Runner all headed offshore to fish and hopefully hook up to some billfish as well as some nice meat fish. We hope to see some outriggers full of flying release flags and some fish on the docks later this evening. The Capt Cheryl returned to the docks with some nice meat fish including some Red Belly Rosefish and Barrel Fish! The Backlash came back with 2 White Marlin flags along with 1 Blue Marlin release flag. The Rebel had 2 White Marlin flags flying when they returned as well! The Git-R-Done had 2 White Marlin release flags flying when they came back to the docks! The Waverunner also returned to the docks this evening with 1 White Marlin release flag flying!

Inshore:

The High Hopes returned to the dock at 12PM with nice catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. They then headed right back out for their afternoon trip! In the afternoon, the High Hopes had some fun catching and releasing some small inshore shark on their inshore trip!

Rudee Inlet:

The predominant bite here in Rudee Inlet is currently Croaker and Spot with the occasional Puppy Drum and Flounder. The hot bait to use is live minnows, bloodworms, various cut baits like squid or mullet, and Gulp with a light jighead.
