Spot Aren’t Effected By Bad Weather

Rudee Inlet:

During this blow over the past week most fishing has seemed to slow down, that is except for the Spot. They are hitting best on live bloodworms, though squid and fishbites seem to work as well. There are still a few Flounder in the area, but most reports we have received have been they are smaller in size. The Flounder seem to hit best on live minnows, as well as gulp on a light jig head. There are still some Croaker biting as well hitting on live bloodworms as well as squid.

Inshore:

We have received reports that there are some Puppy Drum and Red Drum starting to show up. They have been running along the beaches and hitting on cut bait. The fleet has not been able to fish inshore here recently due to the recent high winds, but we are confident there are still some Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel in the area.

Offshore:

The fleet have not been able to fish offshore in roughly a week due to mother nature not being on the fisherman’s side. The recent weather has produced high winds leading to rough seas. We are hoping to have some calmer weather in the near future so the boats can return to fishing offshore. Be sure to keep checking back with us as we do have some trips scheduled to go out!
