4 lb 1 oz Trigger Fish caught by Wylie Walker of Ruther Glen, Va on the Rudee Angler

The head boats fished today out at the Triangle and had a good showing of Sea Bass (They have permits to keep them, season publicly opens October. 18, 2014), and returned with some nice Trigger Fish.

Rudee Inlet:

This morning in Rudee Inlet the Spot and occasional Croaker are biting on artificial bloodworms on bottom rigs. There is a bunch of Speckled Trout starting to move into Rudee Inlet. They are biting on Gulps! There is still a few puppy drum making an appearance from time to time.

Inshore:

We have heard reports of Blue Fish still running along the oceanfront. Also biting are a a few King Mackerel, and some nice sized Red Drum!

Offshore:

There is a ton of Dolphin being caught offshore, as well as several Wahoo. The Marlin bite has seemed to slow down, but there are still some out at the Norfolk Canyon. There are still a few Yellowfin Tuna making an appearance, as well as Albacore.
