A Little Inshore Fishing

by | May 14, 2016

Rudee Inlet:

Rudee Inlet has had some beautiful chomper Bluefish being caught. We have seen several being caught pretty much daily from looking out from our marina, as well as weighing in several for citations. The Bluefish have been hitting on artificial grubs, like Gulps on a light jig head, as well as top water artificials, and even cut Finger Mullet on a bottom rig. We have also had several reports of some Flounder starting to bite on grubs, some of which have been keepers. There are some Croaker and Spot starting to move into the inlet as well as our water temperature continues to rise.

Inshore:

The WaveRunner and High Hopes went out today on inshore fishing trips. The WaveRunner just returned with a nice haul of Bluefish, some with some really nice size to them. There are also reports of some Red Drum being caught during the evening hours, as well as some Skates being caught in the surf. The High Hopes his the docks with a nice little haul of Bluefish.
