Rudee Inlet:

Flounder bite continues to be steady, with a more keepers reportedly being caught on Gulp on a light jig head or live minnows, even some small flounder have been biting on cut squid off the bottom. The Spot and Croaker have continued to make their way into Rudee Inlet and can be caught on artificial or live blood worms as well as cut squid. There are still some Bluefish and Puppy Drum being caught inside the inlet when you can find them, hitting on cut Finger Mullet.

Inshore:

This morning the High Hopes headed out to do a little inshore fishing along the Virginia Beach coastline. They returned to the docks with a nice catch of Spadefish and a few Spanish Mackerel in the mix of things. We have also had some Cobia hit the docks recently.

Offshore:

We had a bunch of boats offshore today, including the Backlash, Capt Cheryl, Top Notch, Rebel, and WaveRunner. They are hoping to bring in some more Yellowfin Tuna. We are also expecting to see some Mahi on the docks, and possibly some Marlin release flags flying as the offshore fleet returns to the dock. The Backlash returned to the docks with over a dozen nice Yellowfin Tuna and a Mahi! The WaveRunner also returned to the docks with a great catch of Tuna. The Capt Cheryl returned to the docks with some Yellowfin, as well as a 122lb Big Eye Tuna. The Top Notch returned to the docks with a Yellowfin Tuna, a Mahi, several False Albacore, and had 3 release Shark citations. The Rebel will not be in until a little later so be sure to check back with us tomorrow to see how they did.
