Bluefish Inshore And A Swordfish On The Docks

by | Oct 9, 2015

Today At The Marina:

Today we have a few inshore trips in the books to head out. We have one in the morning aboard the Capt Cheryl, followed by the High Hopes this afternoon. Today will be partly cloudy and a little on the breezy side but warmer. We will see highs in the low to mid 80’s, with the wind out of the southwest between 5 and 10 MPH.

Inshore:

The Capt Cheryl returned to the docks from their morning inshore trip with several Bluefish.

Offshore:

Sadly, none of the fleet is fishing offshore today. Those anglers that are fishing offshore today can expect to face southwest winds between 5 and 15 KT, before changing to south to southwest between 10 and 20 KT. Seas will be between 2 and 4 feet.

We had a private boat pull in earlier with a 218 lb Swordfish earlier this afternoon.

Rudee Inlet:

Rudee Inlet is started to produce a Speckled Trout bite. We have received reports of some being of keeper size. There are still some Croaker and Spot biting. The Croaker are biting on squid, bloodworms, as well as the fishbites. The Spot seem to be biting best on live bloodworms or fishbites. We are expecting to start seeing some nice Puppy Drum in the near future.
