Flags Flying And Another Day With A Great Inshore Bite

by | Sep 16, 2015

Offshore:

The Backlash and Instigator headed out to the deep bright and early this morning. The Capt. Cheryl  will also be returning today from an overnight trip. We are hoping to see more flags flying on the outriggers of the boats as they return from offshore. There has been a continued bite of Mahi, as well as some great bottom fishing in the deep waters offshore out at the Norfolk Canyon. The boats should be returning between 5 and 6 this evening, so be sure to check back with us for the most up to date report. You may also stop by the marina for a first hand fishing report!

Inshore:

The GitRDone just returned with a really nice haul of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Also in the mix of their catch were several nice False Albacore! Inshore fishing remains strong with a really good bite on the troll of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

Rudee Inlet:

Rudee Inlet continues to produce a nice Croaker and Spot bite. They seem to be hitting best on live bloodworms, but will also bite squid and the bloodworm fishbites. There is also a scattered flounder bite. Flounders seem to favor the live minnows as well as Gulps on a light jig head.
