Yesterday, August 11, we had the Capt. Cheryl and Wave Runner fishing inshore, and the Backlash, High Hopes, Rebel, and Top Notch offshore. The Capt. Cheryl fished an all day inshore and brought back a few Flounder and some Seabass, while the Wave Runner returned to the docks with Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish! The Backlash got back in from their offshore trip with 3 White Marlin and 1 Blue Marlin releases. High Hopes also returned to the docks with 2 White Marlin releases and a Mako Shark release citation! The Rebel had a great day offshore catching some really nice Dolphin, 2 Blue Marlin and a White Marlin. The Top Notch came in with 1 White Marlin and Hammerhead Shark releases! On August 10, we had the Top Notch fishing offshore as well as the Capt. Cheryl and High Hopes fishing inshore. The Top Notch had a phenomenal day offshore, they had 6 White Marlin Releases and brought back their limit of Tilefish! The High Hopes and Capt. Cheryl both had great trips inshore bringing back Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Legacy, fishing out of Rudee Inlet, also brought in a great catch of Spanish Mackerel as well as a 54″ Cobia to the docks!
Yesterday, August 9th, we had the Capt. Cheryl fishing nearshore and High Hopes fishing inshore. Capt. Cheryl brought back six Flounder, and caught some Bluefish, Cobia and Sea Robbin! The High Hopes came back in with a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel. We had the Backlash and Rebel still fishing the White Marlin Open. Backlash Released 3 White Marlin and a Long Bill Spearfish. And The Rebel had 2 White Marlin Releases. The Underdog, fishing out of VBFC caught an 83# White Marlin yesterday qualifying as the new White Marlin category leader. Congratulations Jorge, Jake & the rest of the Underdog Crew! There is still a day left of fishing for the tournament, so it’s still anyone’s game!
Yesterday, August 7, our fleet had a great day inshore, and the captains have said the Spanish Mackerel are running strong! The Captain Cheryl, High Hopes, and Wave Runner came back in from their morning inshore trips with a great catch of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Top Notch also had an awesome day! Between their two inshore trips they came back with Bluefish, and a load of Spanish Mackerel including 2 Citation Mackerel! We also had a 39lb Cobia brought into Rudee Inlet off of the head boat, Rudee Mariner!
Yesterday, we had the Capt. Cheryl, High Hopes, and Wave Runner fishing inshore. The Capt. Cheryl had an awesome on an all day inshore trip! Capt. Joe kept his charter busy bringing in a Cobia, Spadefish, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Flounder, and Seabass, including a citation Seabass! The High Hopes fished two inshore trips yesterday! Between both he brought in 2 nice sized Cobia as well as some Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish! We also had the Wave Runner trolling inshore for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Backlash had a good first day fishing the White Marlin Open, with a Long Bill Spearfish and a White Marlin!
Yesterday, August 5th, we had both the Top Notch and Rebel fishing offshore, as well as the Capt. Cheryl fishing inshore. Top Notch returned to the docks with a few Dolphin, their limit of Tilefish, and released a White Marlin! The Rebel also returned from offshore with a released White Marlin, as well as a nice haul of Seabass, Tilefish, and Dolphin! Capt. Cheryl spent the morning inshore, and came back with Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Cobia Bite is still strong, we had High Expectations come weigh in 3 nice sized Cobia at our docks yesterday! On Saturday, August 4 we had the Rebel coming back from an overnight trip, Capt. Cheryl and Top Notch offshore as well as the Wave Runner fishing inshore! The Rebel left Friday and returned to the docks Saturday evening with a nice meat haul of Dolphin, Black Belly Rosefish, Blueline Tilefish, Golden Tilefish, Jacks, and a White Marlin. Capt. Cheryl fished offshore and came in with a huge catch of Tilefish and Dolphin. Top Notch came back to the docks from their offshore trip with their limit of Tilefish and Jacks! The Wave Runner spent their afternoon inshore trolling for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. We also had a 41 lb Cobia weighed in at the docks today!
Yesterday, August 2, we had the Backlash and Rebel offshore as well as the Capt. Cheryl and High Hopes fishing inshore. The Rebel had a great day offshore bringing in a huge meat haul of Blueline Tilefish and Seabass as well as catching and releasing a Blue Marlin and a White Marlin. The Backlash also had a great day offshore bringing in some good meat! They also spent most of their day looking for Swordfish! Inshore, the High Hopes fished both morning and afternoon and had great catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Capt. Yesterday, August 1, we had the Top Notch and WaveRunner fishing inshore. The weather conditions lately have been less than ideal so the fishing was a little bit slower than usual but they both ended up with some nice catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish! The Rebel and the Backlash were scheduled to go offshore but unfortunately, the weather was too rough out there and so they both stayed in and finally got rested up after their big weekend fishing the tournament! August is generally one of our best months of fishing so if you are contemplating booking a trip- now is the time!
