Bluefish, Black Sea Bass, and Tilefish!

by | Dec 22, 2015

Today at the Marina:

The weather today was a bit gloomy with scattered showers throughout the day. Seas are 3 to 4 feet with South winds blowing at 10 to 15 KT with a dominant period of 7 seconds.

Offshore:

A private boat went out today on a offshore deep drop trip. The charter returned to the docks with a nice catch of Black Sea Bass, Blueline Tilefish, and some Bluefish as well. The Bluefish were of nice size. Fishing is really good right now on the deep drop trips. Reminder, that Black Sea Bass fishing closes on December 31st!

Inshore:

The Rockfish bite is still way far up in the bay. Boats are having to run roughly around 45 to 50 miles.

Rudee Inlet:

The bite here in the inlet consists of small Speckled Trout with a few keepers being caught in the mix. The hot bait to use is chartreuse Gulp with a light jig head.
