Bluefish Bite In Rudee Inlet

by | Apr 18, 2016

Rudee Inlet:

The WaveRunner fished inside Rudee Inlet recently and their crew, made up of a bachelor party had a great time catching some Bluefish. The Bluefish have been biting on top water artificial baits, like MirroLures. Anglers have also been seeking some of the nice Speckled Trout inside the inlet as well using gulps on a light jig head. We are excited to see some warmer weather today, heating up the water temperatures one day at a time, great fishing is just around the corner! Check out the videos below, these anglers caught some fish, and had some fun along the way. Congratulations to the groom!

Along with the Bluefish and Speckled Trout in Rudee Inlet some Flounders are starting to show up as well.

Inshore:

The inshore bite continues to be on the slower side of things. The weather has not been the best for us bringing some high winds. cool temperatures, and rough seas. We are hoping with the forecast next week calling for some sunshine, that the water temperature will start to rise. Once we get some warmer waters along our coast we should start seeing some nice hauls of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and some Flounder, as well as catching and releasing some small sharks.

Offshore:

We have no up to date offshore report, due to high winds and rough seas none of the boats have been able to fish out at the canyon recently. We are hoping to get some of the boats out soon. We are sure there are some Mahi and Tuna  out in the deep water, and before we know it we are sure to start seeing some flags flying for the fleet catching and releasing some beautiful White and Blue Marlin. Deep Drop trips will continue to run all year, returning with some nice Tilefish, Grouper and other Wreck fish, as well as some huge Bluefish!
