A little Sea Bass Fishing

by | Nov 9, 2016

Rudee Inlet:

The Rudee Inlet bite continues to be predominately  Speckled Trout, with some Puppy Drum being caught in the mix of things. The lately the Speckled Trout have been smaller, yesterday produced more keepers from the reports we heard. Speckled Trout have been hitting on (White or Chartreuse) Gulp on a light Jig Head, which could also hook you up on the occasional Flounder, the White Got-Cha Curtail Grubs have also seemed to get the job as well. Some anglers have been leaning towards using topwater artificial baits, and have been reeling in some nice keeper Speckled Trout. Puppy Drum have been hitting best on cut Finger/Fillet Mullet a few feet below the surface.

Offshore:

The Rudee Angler of the Head Boat Fleet pulled out of their slip at 8 this morning. We are expecting them to return to the docks around 5 this evening. They are targeting Black Sea Bass, as well as the possibility of hooking up with a Trigger Fish or two. The returned with some nice Black Sea Bass and a door mat of a Flounder!
