Congratulations to the Backlash for catching 41 Marlin out there today!!  Hopefully their charter will come fill out their citations so we can recognize those anglers as well!!

The girls of the Virginia Beach Fishing Center went offshore fishing today! We had a total of 25 White Marlins and we only lost one! It was the first time any of us had Marlin fished and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.  It was so awesome to watch the lines go CRAZY as soon as we dropped them in with Ballyhoo rigged to them. There was actually one point where we landed on top of a MASSIVE school of White's and had 4 lines cranking at once! Our favorite thing to watch when catching Marlin is when they're hooked, watch them jump out of the water.   Needless to say the Marlin bite is INSANE right now. We're not sure how long these fish will be coming in this strong, but we can't imagine anyone not wanting to see this much action!

We weren't the only ones out there fishing today. We saw 4 other boats that were fishing around us and they hooked up as much as we did!  The lowest reported number from other boats was 18 White Marlin releases, with many other boats catching over 30 Marlin as well. 

Congratulations to all the captains, mates and anglers who fished yesterday! Us girls know for a fact that it's not an easy job, especially when there are SO many fish to reel in!
