**The Top Notch arrived after we closed but luckily he had his flags still flying the next morning which is why the date is September 2nd on the pictures**

Today is moving by quickly as our boats prepare for Hurricane Earl. We're extremely lucky to have such a great fleet of captains who have MANY years of experience to know the right precautions to take when weather threatens our coast.

As we enjoy our last day of calm weather until the weekend, we wish good luck and tight lines to the charter boats that are offshore fishing today. They should be back in around 5PM so we'll have an updated report then.

Hurricanes for us usually mean rough seas and extreme tides which can stir up fish in the inlet, more times than not it's for the good believe it or not. Right now the inlet still holds a TON of spot which feed mostly on live bloodworms. We've also been hearing good reports of scattered summer fish like Flounder, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, Croaker, etc.
