A beautiful
fall day outside, but the winds are still blowing a bit to hard to get out. The
Captains are going a bit stir crazy talking about fishing trips, fish that are
still offshore, and what is about to come this winter with Striper fishing.
The offshore
fishing is still doing well, with meat fish, and billfish being seen. And
speaking to the Captains they are talking about the swordfish that have been
being caught offshore. Last year on todays date was the first day we saw
swordfish citations so it's nice to hear that the swordfish are running right up
to date like they were last year.
Although we
aren't seeing any boats heading out today, tomorrow looks like we will be able
to get out and we can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
Inside the
inlet we are seeing TONS AND TONS of fish, so if you can't get out on a boat
make sure you cast a line from the shore. Speckled Trout and spot are all over
the inlet right now. Yesterday we had speckled trouts weighed in at 5 1/2 lbs
and 7 1/2 lbs!! What great sizes as both were citations!!! More that that were
caught that were right underneath the citation size limit. The spot are still
doing really well and we are selling a TON of bloodworms daily. Don't forget we
sell the jumbo bloodworms, artificial bloodworms, gulp baits, squid, mullet, and
tons of lures and artificials.
Get out and
enjoy the day! GO FISHING!!!
