21st

The sun finally decided to stay out and warm us up.  This past week has been a taste of winter, but it has finally warmed up today.  And this weekend looks like its going to be just as warm!

WVEC 7-Day Forecast

We are working on a few make up charters right now. While most people are waiting for the Striped Bass to come in, don't forget about the Drum, Flounder or scattered Striper in the Bay. Otherwise, offshore you can definitely head out for Wahoo, Grouper, Tilefish, Amberjack and see if you can scout out some of the remaining tuna!

Also, don't forget about possibly booking a trip for Thanksgiving. Most people have that day off, and we can have you back in time dinner and the football games by going out for a 3/4 day trip for Striped Bass.  Not to mention that Striped Bass is a great alternative to turkey and makes for a great day after meal!!

If you are interested in either of these trips or want to book one yourself please give us a call!

Otherwise in the inlet, we are still seeing lots of speckled trout, some taylor bluefish, croaker, spot and black sea bass. Just don't forget black sea bass is closed for the time being and will reopen on November 1st. So all black sea bass need to be thrown back. Baits of choice seem to be the artificial bloodworms & clam strips, real bloodworms, squid, mullet, or the gulp baits. Depending on what you are hoping to go for you can easily choose your bait, however, most baits can be interchanged for different fish. We are still open daily, and have a wide variety of tackle, bait and more, so if you are fishing Rudee Inlet make sure to stop by and check out our selection!
