What a beautiful day!
The weather has finally broken
and the winds have completely died down which means EVERYONE was out fishing
today.
Fishing in Rudee Inlet has been
phenomenal. TONS of Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum are hitting on just about
anything right now. Chartreuse Gulp, any grub tail with a shimmer or sparkle in
it, jig heads, mullet, and squid have been the big items today that people are
using for these fish. We're hearing other reports of Taylor Bluefish, Flounder,
and a few Spot still hanging around.
The headboats had an 8AM-2PM trip
that came back with some really nice Triggerfish, Red Drum, and Bluefish.
Because of the new regulation, they had to throw back all the Sea Bass which
they saw a lot of.
Our offshore boat came back with
a couple Bonita after a slow day offshore. Even though that wasn't great news,
the captain said he expects the Bluefin bite to turn on right around
Thanksgiving.
We've still got an inshore trip out so we will keep you as updated as possible!
***
The inshore boat that went out
today came back with a REALLY NICE catch! Nice rockfish all around, and they
limited out up at the CBBT. The fishing is definitely picking up for these
Striper are we are anxiously awaiting to see them in the Ocean. We all look
forward to this season annually and cant wait until we can see those nice big
rockfish coming back to the docks. The charters love fishing for these fish, and
not to mention they are definitely wonderful to eat!
Rockfish trips are being booked
right now in the recommendation of the 6- 8 hour trips. Once the fish move
predominately into the Ocean the 4 hour trip will start taking over the
bookings. DON'T FORGET TO PICK YOUR DAY SOON!!!!!
