What a fantastic day these guys had! A deep dropping trip is ideal for this time of the season, the fish are good to eat and a ton of fun to catch.  Just because the trolling offshore species are not at their peak, does not mean offshore fishing is not productive. This can be one of the best times of year to do deep drop fishing.  These fish take a bit to reel in as they are so deep down, but they are well worth the effort, as you can see from the picture.  Deep dropping catches can produce a wide variety of fish that are great to eat, including: Blueline and Golden Tile Fish, Yellow Edge and Snowy Grouper, Wreckfish, Barrelfish, Black Bellied Rose Fish, Black Sea Bass, etc.  As you can see, these guys will have their freezers full for a while.  They even had multiple citations and enough fish to fill TWO fish carts! There were several other fish that they caught that were probably citations as well, but they only wanted to weigh their largest fish.  They also had some nice sized Black Sea Bass, they didn't hang them on the rack, but you can see a few of them on the fish cleaning stand.  Way to go guys!
