The dolphin have definitely invaded the offshore waters. With 52 dolphin, a wahoo, a yellowfin tuna, and tilefish brought in today the boats definitely loaded up with fish! The offshore waters are moving in closer every day and the fish are therefore getting closer and closer. With water temperatures reaching as high as 77 degrees in some areas, the fish are sure to be loaded up in the waters offshore. This is normal activity for this time regarding the fish location, however, the massive quantity of dolphin that are being seen is PHENOMENAL. If you are looking for an offshore trip that is going out for quantity AND meat, now is the time to go!! Trips are going out daily, and if you are only a single (or just a few people in your party) we are constantly working on make-up charters to put parties together so that you can split the cost of the charter with others.

Not familiar with a make-up charter? Check out information on it here!

Inshore the flounder are biting up a storm over towards the Bay and the bite has definitely hit a new high! Not to mention the water in the inlet has warmed up enough so that we are seeing Flounder in Rudee Inlet (don't forget we sell minnows here in the store!!!). Other news around the area.....Red Drum & Black Drum are still being seen...the bite has slowed a bit and is predominately in the evening, but they are still hanging around. Spadefish have shown up but this is till the beginning for them so they are a big sluggish to bite right now, but hopefully within the next week or so, they will be ready and raring to go...........biting clams mostly.

Inside Rudee Inlet we are seeing a HUGE influx of Flounder. While typing this report I had a gentleman show up with a 19 1/2" flounder. He also reported catching MANY MANY that were right under keeper size, so there are plenty hanging around that are close to keeper size (and hopefully they will be legal before too long!). Otherwise, inside the inlet we are still seeing nice taylor bluefish (most this week were in the 28" size), as well as puppy drum, and speckled trout in the back of the inlet. Most people are using mullet, bloodworms, or cut bait for these fish, although there are several people still recommending jig heads and grubs.
