Today was the first fishing day of the Mid-Atlantic Rockfish Shootout and it was awesome!! Striper and Bluefin Tuna were EVERYWHERE!!! Here are the citations from today:

Bluefin Tuna: 208 lbs caught by Greg Bryan of Chesapeake, VA
Striper: 44 lbs caught by Aaron Derstine of Pantego, NC
Striper: 44 lbs caught by Blair Milhorn of Sandston, VA
Striper: 42 lbs caught by Ryan Gingrich of Virginia Beach, VA
Striper: 42 lbs caught by Fred A. Bovee of Newark, DE on the Instigator

We literally saw a TON of fish carted across the docks and a lot of boats dropping fish off for the tournament. A lot of fish were weighed and almost made citation sized so that means the class of fish that are in the Ocean are really nice sized. The Bluefin Tuna bite has been off the hook and are HUMONGOUS. The biggest one today weighed in at 208 lbs right around 1:30p.m. so that really set off the rest of the day for some awesome fishing.
