___________________________________________________ Despite the ideal conditions, the fishing was slow again today. We did have a few fish on the dock, but nothing like we saw this week. The captains were still marking huge schools of bait, but the fish were not biting. The bait still being here is a sign that the fish cannot have gone too far, because they cannot leave their food source, but they certainly didn't cooperate today. Many captains are firm believers that with a large number of boats out there, the fish can afford to be choosy, and often refuse to bite. This seems to be true recently as week day trips have been quite successful with fewer boats out on the water. Hopefully it will pick back up again tomorrow, as it did last week. Many anglers did get a good show with the Whales though. There are still many Whales out there, and they have been very active, from fin and tail slaps to full on breaching. 757-491-8000 800-725-0509 |
