We have had quite a few boats roll out this morning to go fishing, with most returning sometime after lunch.  The sun is finally back out here and it's shaping up to be a beautiful morning.  It has cooled off some here after last week's warm streak, but it definitely is NOT as cold as it was a few weeks ago.

Captain Skip Feller that runs the head boats for Rudee Tours was on the local radio station this morning with Don Lancaster talking about the Sea Bass regulations, among other things.  This morning they also discussed the Fishermen's rally in Washington that is occurring February 24, 2010 concerning regulations on different types of fish.  We are currently working on getting some information together about this event, so make sure to be checking our website over the next few days for more concerning this. We are also planning on sponsoring a bus for this event.  For all those interested in joining up and heading to Washington, we will post specifics as soon as we have them, but make sure to plan ahead because it is a Wednesday!  Any support would be greatly appreciated! Other marinas from different areas are also planning on participating, and we hope this will be a huge and successful event!  Don't forget to give your input on our Striped Bass poll as well if you haven't yet.  It is located on our home page at the bottom!

Keep checking back for fishing updates throughout the day!

Well, the boats are back in and almost everyone had limits or were close to their limits!  We had a few releases today in addition to a few release citations!  The captains are still recommending a 3/4 day or an all day trip in order to reach the fish and still have time to fish.  We have had reports of some various reports coming in, and we expect here in the next few weeks the bite will get even better as some fish North of us reach us and the ones South start returning to the bay.

There were several people stopping in the store today getting stuff for fishing in the inlet.  We have had reports of a good Puppy Drum bite as well as a few Speckled Trout.  We have not had any report of Rockfish in the inlet, but hopefully soon that may happen! :)

We are also starting to get a lot of calls about late Spring and Summer trips, so start planning ahead for what days would work best and give us a call to plan your charter for then.  We had a nice bite offshore this summer and are anxious to see what this year holds.  We keep our fishing reports up for a year, so feel free to click on days last summer and see what we were catching around that time to get an idea of when you want to go!

The weather tomorrow has kept changing around but it looks like tomorrow should be a nice day of fishing.  We have quite a few boats heading out tomorrow, and hopefully we will have some good reports.
