23rd STRIPED BASS: 49 lbs caught by Thomas F Melton of Hopewell, VA
__________________________________________________ For those who are looking for a fishing report, unfortunately there is not much to report. As you may have guessed, the wind was too rough for the boats to be able to get out yesterday. We had two boats go out today. One boat had one Rockfish and the other had some Shark. We also had a private boat weigh in a citation caught at Cape Henry. There were no reports of Tuna today, but captains did say that there are still very large schools of bait along the oceanfront. As long as the bait is still here, the fish can't be too far away. We are still dealing with the end of this front that has been coming through for the past few days, but the weather looks much better for tomorrow and the next few days. We don't know if this will improve the fishing, but fishing picked up after the last front moved out. Keep checking back and we will keep you posted with any news of fish. 757-491-8000 800-725-0509 |
