STRIPED BASS: 43 lbs 5 oz
caught by Bojan Matic of Charlottesville, VA onboard the Providence II
STRIPED BASS: 48 lbs caught by
Michael Spires of Chapin, SC
STRIPED BASS: 46 lbs caught by
Marshall West of Lexington, SC
What a spectacular catch
the Providence II had today!!!! They said once they put their lines in
they had their catch of 22 fish within 30 minutes! The captain said it was
quite a show out there today, with a large number of birds about two miles off
the beach! The fish seem to be getting closer and closer everyday, and
fishing seems to get better and better! The captains are continuing to say
that they think this will be an outstanding March for Rockfishing.
Rockfishing normally is starting to slow down some come March, but the fishing
we are seeing right now is like the fishing we see in January! With the
weather being wild and crazy these last few weeks, it may have in the long run
helped with the fishing being so great now!
An extended forecast for
this week looks like the conditions will continue to be favorable out on the
water! It looks like the winds won't be blowing like crazy and the
temperatures seem to be staying in the 40s and not dropping nearly as much at
night. With the warmer weather moving in, the fish will start to move up
North some as they head back to the bay! We are currently working on a
make up charter for this Friday (2/26), March 12th, and March 26th. All
three of those trips are all day inshore trips at $210 per person. Call
for more information!

Another one of the boats docked at
our marina just got in with another spectacular catch! They were kind
enough to share even some pictures from when they were on the water!! What a
great day overall!
