FEB 24, 2010-  WASHINGTON, D.C. FISHERMEN'S RALLY INFORMATION

2nd

After great fishing yesterday, we could only hope for another good day- and guess what?  We got it!  The fishing was good again today after the snow storm this past weekend!  We only had one charter boat head out today, but it was definitely worth their while!  The charter caught both nice size fish and their limit, with enough fish to take home to family and friends!  The fish averaged about mid- 30 pounds, and gave a good fight to the anglers on board.  The rockfish we are seeing are a good enough size that the limit of two per person, gives enough to take home for several meals or enough to even share, as well as give put up a good fight that is fun for either the novice or avid fishermen.  We hope over the next few weeks we continue to see good fishing, and hopefully some nice weather conditions as the fish soon start to return to the bay!

For all of those who looked at the fishing report yesterday, the snow has slowly but surely started to melt away and disappear some!  It was a lot of fun to have a few days to enjoy the snow, but one thing is for sure- it's nice to have clear roads and docks to start your day off fishing!  Even though the groundhog didn't see his shadow, hopefully some sunny, rain-free (snow-free) days are ahead!  With striper season not over yet, make sure to round up your buddies and pick a date to come get a chance at a good fight, and a good time!  We do put together make up charters as well, so if you are a single or only a few people call to start your makeup trip as soon as you have a date!
