6th citations: BLUE LINE TILE FISH: 16 lbs 2 oz caught by Jimmy Jones of Elberon, VA on the Waterman BLUE LINE TILE FISH: 12 lbs 5 oz caught by Thomas Bolt of Lanexa, VA on the Waterman _________________________ The offshore fishing is still going strong. For those who are looking to get in on some good action and can't wait for the stripers to get here, this is a great option! As you can see from the pictures these anglers had a very productive day. They managed to catch enough fish to fill two carts and several buckets. This should certainly keep their freezers full for a while! Fishing in the inlet has been great. Not only has the fishing started to produce some citation sized speckled trout, there are also some nice Striped Bass starting to make their way in the inlet. We have had reports of people seeing ones that look about 2 feet long! There are also some Taylor Blues and Puppy Drum in the inlet as well. The rain over the next few days may change the clarity of the water and the fishing may slow down a bit. The fish are certainly not going any where, so if you don't have much luck, try again after the water clears up. These fish were caught by one of our commercial boats with his striper tags. He caught these fish not too far from Rudee Inlet in the Ocean. It was so great to see these fish already moving into the ocean! It should not be long now until the big schools are here! 757-491-8000 800-725-0509 |
