10:30 AM Report

It's only 10 am and most of the boats have already returned to the docks with limits caught and good sized fish!  One of the first boats back in said that they had lines in by 7:15 am this morning and lines out with 29!!!! fish caught by 8:17am.  Most of the boats are reporting going straight out from the inlet and not having to travel too far to get their limits.  The size on average are about 25 lbs and up.  As the weather continues to stay cold, we hope that some of the bigger trophy fish start to show up in more numbers.  We have already had quite a few citations weighed in so far this year, and are eager for more!  The best news though is that the are definitely here, they are definitely right off the beach, and the boats are limiting out!!!

A few of the boats that came in early are thinking about trying to get some more people together to go out for afternoon fishing since the bite was so good, so check back later for hopefully more updates!

3:15 PM

Even more boats have come in now with nice catches!  Some of the girls went fishing this afternoon in order to get a try at the good bite today.  Within an hour, the limit on Rockfish had been caught.  The largest one caught on our trip was 32 lbs, with several weighing in close behind it.  This was not enough for a citation- but being the one that caught it, I will say it gave a good fight still!  It was running away with line and pulling against you with every chance it got.  With non-stop action, the hour long trip was red hot and lots of fun.  The striper will not leave any angler disappointed.  This fish gives the fight and the attitude of a big offshore catch!    For my first experience fishing for the Rocks, it was a lot of fun!  We are so excited to see these fish straight out of out inlet!  We are working on several make-up charter trips throughout the next few months, as well as still some days available for booking the boat just for your party!  Call for more information!
