We have been hearing rumors for a few days now that there are some nice sized Bluefish hanging out at the tower.  These anglers were able to reel in some nice ones.  The captain said that there was even a few small Blue Fin Tunas out there, but he could not get them to bite.  Bluefish are a ton of fun to catch, and put up a great fight.  While a lot of people are not fond of the taste, they are used around here almost everywhere in dips, salads, etc after they have been smoked.  If you do not have a smoker, there are lots of places you can go to have them smoked.  Local delis and grocery stores have been known to smoke meat around here.  This process removes most of the oil leaving behind a mild meat that is great for adding to dishes.
