It was still a little windy this morning, so many anglers decided to try their luck from the shore.  We had quite a few locals come by to get some tackle to target the Speckled Trout in the inlet.  We didn't get any reports back on how they did here in Rudee, but the Elizabeth River produced some nice Speckled Trout for at least two anglers.

While it has been a fast change, this cooler weather should start to make a change in the water temperature.  This should start to encourage the Ocean Striper to move further down the coast and for the rest of the Bay Striper to move out of the Rivers and eventually merge with the Ocean schools as well.  We are still getting reports of fish being caught in the Bay, as well as the Ocean to the North of us.  Hopefully this just means that the fish are having longer to eat and grow and the schools will be even larger and the fish even fatter!
