Happy Easter!

It's a beautiful morning and the temperatures are significantly warmer than yesterday. Not too many fishing boats headed out this morning because of the holiday, however we've seen quite a few people on private boats and people heading to the Jetty for some Rudee Inlet action. Friday we had reports start to roll in about the Puppy Drum hitting really good and in really good sizes. Yesterday, the reports were even better! We're trying to ask every chance we get what people have been using and we've heard the same thing several times: artificial shrimp grubs, gulp, jigs, squid, shrimp and mullet. Seems like you really can't go wrong right now. With that type of bait you're likely to catch some Speckled Trout as well.

We encourage anyone fishing (whether it's in the inlet or out on the ocean) to let us know how they did, what they used, and to bring any fish by. We always love getting pictures of catches so we can put them up on our reports. Don't forget that we weigh fish for citation also!
