The head boat company decided to do a 16 hour deep-drop fishing trip yesterday. They got back right around 8p.m. last night so we were not able to see the catch but the captain did call to give us a heads up that they did extremely well with the Wreckfish. As soon as we get a hold of pictures and more information we will be sure to post it!

According to NOAA the water temperature is SLOWLY starting to climb which means the Spring and Summer fish are almost here. We need a few more weeks of high 60s and 70s before it gets warm enough for the fish to really start biting around the inlet and off the beach. Pretty soon we'll see the inlet fishing pick up with Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, Bluefish and Croaker. We are conveniently located within walking distance from the jetty where some really good fishing takes place year round. We sell just about everything you need for fishing such as bait, tackle, rods, bait knives, gloves, etc. Now is a good time to go ahead and renew your Virginia Saltwater Fishing License which you can do here.

Our owners and captains meeting went really good Wednesday night. They decided to keep all the inshore prices from last year the same and the offshore prices changed to range between $1,950.00 and $2,150.00. You can see a more detailed break-down here.

We just got a really great report! Yesterday there we Bluefin Tuna caught offshore and the fish were between 30 and 40 lbs. Bigger Bluefish were also caught around 40 to 50 miles off the shore. This is awesome news that warmer pockets of water are starting to form offshore and soon the Tuna and Dolphin will be in full swing!
