Today, we had the Backlash, Capt. Cheryl and Top Notch offshore as well as the High Hopes and WaveRunner inshore. The Backlash came back to the docks with a citation Wahoo as well as some Dolphin. The Capt. Cheryl returned with a freezer full of meatfish including Golden Tilefish, Blueline Tilefish, Seabass, Black Belly Rosefish, and Barrelfish. The Top Notch came back flying a GRAND SLAM! They had themselves an incredible day out there catching a Sailfish, White Marlin and a Blue Marlin!! Inshore, the WaveRunner and High Hopes both had two half-day trips and came back to the dock with plenty of fish for their anglers as well made up of Ribbonfish and Spanish Mackerel! Today, we had the Backlash, High Hopes, and WaveRunner offshore. Inshore, we had the Top Notch and Capt. Cheryl. The Backlash, High Hopes, and WaveRunner all came back with some meatfish including Blueline Tilefish and a few BlackBelly Rosefish. The High Hopes also returned with a huge Hammerhead Shark release citation for the eight year old angler’s first time offshore! The WaveRunner also brought home a White Marlin release citation. Inshore, the Ribbonfish and Spanish Mackerel continue to keep the freezers full and the anglers exhausted. Both the Top Notch and Capt. Cheryl brought home some great catches of both! Today the Backlash and High Hopes both fished inshore this morning. The High Hopes came back in with a load of Ribbonfish for their anglers. The Backlash also caught Ribbonfish along with Spanish Mackerel.
A HUGE congratulations to the Backlash on bringing home 3rd place in the White Marlin Open out of 404 (!!!!) boats!! Capt. Steve has brought home what we believe is 7 checks from the White Marlin open in his career but each year it has become more and more impressive as the amount of competition and caliber of the competition has continually increased. We are so proud of the Backlash crew- Capt. Steve, Rachael, Brandon, and Jake and were so happy to welcome them home late last night. Today High Hopes and Wave Runner fished offshore while the Capt. Cheryl and Top Notch both fished two inshore trips. The Wave Runner had an exciting day offshore. They released a large Hammerhead Shark and came back with four White Marlin release citations. High Hopes also had a good day offshore returning to the docks with a cooler full of Blue Line Tilefish! Inshore the Capt. Cheryl brought their charters back with Ribbonfish, Spadefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder.
Today the Capt. Cheryl, High Hopes, and Wave Runner all fished inshore today. Capt. Cheryl returned from their afternoon trip with Ribbon Fish, some nice sized Spade Fish, and a Cobia! The High Hopes fished two inshore trips today. Their morning trip returned with a cooler full of Ribbonfish. Wave Runner had a fantastic day inshore! They ended their day with some Ribbonfish, a nice Cobia, and False Albacore!
Today we had the High Hopes & Capt. Cheryl fishing inshore. The High Hopes had a group of guys who come fish with them year after year. They left happy again this year with a cooler full of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Capt. Cheryl also fished inshore this afternoon and returned back with Spanish Mackerel and Ribbonfish.
Yesterday the High Hopes and Wave Runner fished inshore, and the Backlash had an awesome day fishing offshore in the White Marlin Open! High Hopes and Wave Runner both hit the docks with Bluefish and Ribbonfish! Backlash brought back a 73.5# White Marlin to the scales in Ocean City, bringing them into second place in the White Marlin Open! There are still 3 fishing days left of the WMO, but we’re all hoping this one holds Congrats team Backlash!!
Today, we had the High Hopes and Top Notch fishing inshore. Inshore, the High Hopes came back with an awesome catch of Spanish Mackerel on their morning trip. The Top Notch had a very successful morning and afternoon half-day bringing in limits of Spanish Mackerel as well as a really nice King Mackerel citation in the afternoon! The Backlash is currently up in Ocean City fishing the White Marlin Open so stay tuned to see how they do this week!
